ConTRIBUTEr of the Month: Tina Michelle
This month, we’re shining a spotlight on a truly remarkable individual whose heart and dedication brighten our Tribute Senior Living community every day: Tina Michelle!
Tina’s journey to us is one of inspiring resilience and faith. Originally from Los Angeles, life brought Tina and her family to Texas 18 years ago to start anew after facing homelessness – a testament to her strength and positive spirit.
Family is the cornerstone of Tina’s world. She’s been happily married to her husband, Thomas, for an incredible 34 years, and together they’ve built a beautiful legacy with four adult children, two wonderful daughters-in-law, and eight grandsons. Tina has a deep gratitude for her blessings, and this sense of thankfulness translates into the genuine warmth she extends to everyone around her.
When she’s not with us, you might find Tina enjoying her ideal weekend: relaxing on a beach in perfect 75-degree weather, surrounded by her family, enjoying good food, music, laughter, and heartfelt conversations – moments she cherishes for connection and prayer. And if you’re sharing a meal, she’d be delighted with crab, shrimp, a fresh salad, or flavors from Mexican and Asian cuisines!
But there’s more to Tina than meets the eye! A fun aspiration she holds dear is to learn how to play the piano and sing along – a beautiful reflection of her joyful nature. She also dreams of traveling to Spain one day, eager to connect more deeply with her Spanish culture and heritage.
What many may not know is that Tina has dedicated the majority of her life to caring for others. For three decades, she worked as a Home Health CNA. During her life of service, Tina also lovingly cared for her own parents and dedicated six years to serving as a Chaplain, demonstrating a consistent path of profound service.
This lifelong commitment shines brightly in her favorite part of her role here at Tribute: “serving our amazing seniors/community members.” Tina finds joy in every connection, whether it’s through singing, playing games, offering a listening ear, or simply helping in any way she can. Her philosophy is simple yet profound: “They deserve it. Love and Tolerance.”
Tina, your compassionate heart, your unwavering dedication, and the beautiful spirit you bring to our community don’t go unnoticed. Thank you for being such an integral and inspiring part of our Tribute family!
