Dr. Loretta Jaggers: A Life of Service, Learning, and Love
Dr. Loretta Jaggers has spent her life lifting others up—through education, service, and the love she shares with her family. As a retired Professor of Education at Grambling State University, she dedicated her career to shaping young minds and inspiring the next generation of educators. But her passion for learning didn’t stop at the classroom; she has always found joy in traveling, reading, and giving back to her community.
For Loretta, family is everything. She is a proud mother to her two daughters, Denesha and Demetria, and a loving mother-in-law to Brian. But perhaps her greatest joy comes from being “Grandma” to her grandsons, Braylan and Boston, who bring endless laughter and light into her life. She also shares a special bond with her brother, Orea Wayne Walton Jr., treasuring the strength and love that family provides.
Service has always been at the heart of who she is. As a devoted member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and The LINKS, Inc., Loretta has spent countless hours working to uplift and empower those around her. She believes in giving back, making a difference, and leaving the world better than she found it.
Whether she’s exploring new places, getting lost in a great book, or simply enjoying time with friends and family, Loretta embraces life with warmth, wisdom, and gratitude. We are so lucky to have her as part of our community at Tribute Senior Living—her kindness and joyful spirit brighten the lives of everyone she meets, and we cherish every moment spent with her.
