Meet Lissa Robertson, a Life Enrichment Coordinator at Tribute. Lissa has worn many hats throughout her life, her favorite being “Grandma”! A harrowing event led her to Tribute. She prayed, and God answered by directing her to our community. We couldn’t be more grateful to have her as part of the Tribute family. Read on to learn more about Lissa, in her own words.
“I grew up in the northwest corner of Iowa, where it’s cold and snowy half of the year. My husband Steve and I will celebrate our 44th anniversary next month, and we have 3 children who have blessed us with 7 grandchildren. Being a grandparent is the best! We have lived in 8 different states, but Texas is definitely our home. No, we will not be moving back to Iowa. Brrrrr.
Over the years, I have been a professional seamstress for interior designers, a professional quilter, an administrative assistant, owned and operated, along with my husband, a screen printing company, and had a daycare in my home. I have a passion for and studied nutrition and alternative health care. I am always learning something new in this field.
Four years ago, I was in a serious car accident, and when I felt I was well enough to return to work, I asked God to give me a job where I could love and encourage people. And He answered that prayer with my job at Tribute. Every day I get to fulfill my desire to love and encourage people. The residents and staff are family to me, and I am blessed beyond measure to work with such an outstanding group of people.”
