Introducing Tribute Senior Living’s contributor of the Month: Laura Clutts
We take immense pride in our dedicated team members who go above and beyond to enhance the lives of our residents. The ConTRIBUTEr of the Month program at Tribute Senior Living honors employees showing exceptional dedication and initiative. Eligible nominees exceed job expectations, displaying a great deal of reliability, positivity, teamwork, and effective collaboration.
Nominations are open to all, including residents and families, and are carefully reviewed by management. Winners receive recognition through free lunch, a gift card, and a newsletter feature, celebrating their hard work and commitment to making a positive community impact.
This month, we’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on Laura Clutts, our exceptional fitness coordinator whose passion for enriching the lives of seniors shines through in everything she does.
As the fitness coordinator, Laura plays a crucial role in promoting our residents’ physical and mental well-being. Her duties include leading exercise classes tailored to the needs of seniors, ensuring they stay active and healthy. But Laura’s contributions extend beyond fitness– she also brings joy and creativity to our community through monthly craft sessions. With her guidance, residents unleash their creativity and have a blast crafting fun seasonal projects.
A Passion for Decoration
One of Laura’s passions is decorating, and she’s honored to carry on the legacy of our previous decorator, Joy Upton. Her keen eye for design transforms our facility into a warm, welcoming space that residents proudly call home.
Life Beyond Work
When not at work, Laura finds joy in music and traveling. With a diverse musical taste, she appreciates all music, often according to her mood. Laura and her husband, Larry, who works as a federal contractor for Homeland Security, share a mutual love for travel. Although they’ve traveled abroad and to several states, they particularly cherish their road trips throughout Texas over the years.
Building Bonds: Laura’s Passion for Connecting with Residents
For Laura, the most exciting part of her job is the opportunity to connect with our residents. She treasures the fascinating stories they share, each a testament to a well-lived life. Whether it’s during morning brain games or casual conversations, Laura delights in building meaningful relationships with those she serves.
From Educating Children to Enriching Senior Lives
Before joining Tribute, Laura taught kindergarten and first grade before transitioning to adult education and senior fitness instruction. Family holds a special place in Laura’s heart – she and Larry have raised five children, three of whom reside in Texas. Soon, Laura will celebrate the joy of having nine grandchildren with whom she can share her love and wisdom.
Sweet Moments at Tribute
Among the many cherished moments at Tribute, Laura fondly recalls the laughter-filled mornings spent playing brain games with residents. Our residents look forward to these sessions as they are filled with laughter while also helping to boost memory and cognitive skills.
