From Nurse to World Traveler: Shirley Sandidge’s Inspiring Journey

We are delighted to celebrate Shirley Sandidge, who is thoroughly enjoying life at Tribute Senior Living and all the activities we have to offer.

Shirley is the proud mother of three children—two of whom live in Celina and one in Lufkin. Her family continues to grow with seven grandchildren and two precious great-grandchildren.

After graduating from nursing school in 1956, the same year she got married, Shirley embarked on a fulfilling career in healthcare. Over the years, she held many roles as a registered nurse, but her true passion was labor and delivery. She dedicated 21 years to helping bring new life into the world at Medical City Dallas.

Shirley has a love for adventure and has traveled extensively, with Germany holding a special place in her heart. She lived there while her husband served in the military, and it remains her favorite destination.

An outdoor enthusiast, Shirley enjoys spending time in nature, especially gardening and planting flowers—a passion that continues to bring her joy and peace.

We are honored to have Shirley as part of our community and celebrate her remarkable life journey.
