Resident Spotlight: Robbie Blystone
Our residents have lived fulfilling and exciting lives, making our community so diverse. Whether they contributed to society through work or raising their families, each has left an indelible mark on those around them, and they continue to do so here at Tribute.
This month we are shining the spotlight on Robbie Blystone. Robbie was born on December 1, 1951, in Duncan, Oklahoma. While in high school, her family relocated to Sherman, TX, where she graduated from Sherman High School in 1970 with a GPA of 3.75. Robbie was accepted to Austin College, where she completed a major in Biology in just three years!
Following college, Robbie was accepted into Baylor Medical School and enrolled in the Medical Technology program. After completing the program, she was certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. From there, she started her first job with Conroe Community Hospital (near Houston) in the hospital’s laboratory.
In 1987 Robbie and her husband, John, returned to Sherman, where she spent 30 years working for Texoma Medical Center until her retirement. Robbie has two successful sons in their respective professions, a ten-year-old grandson and an eight-year-old granddaughter.
Robbie is a bright woman whose career helped enhance the lives of many individuals. We are so grateful to have her as part of our community!
