Tribute Employee Spotlight: Coach Ashley

coach ashley—tribute senior living Hi, I’m Coach Ashley! I am dedicated to helping others develop, plan, and implement behavior changes for healthier, balanced lives. I am so excited to be part of the Tribute Senior Living team as your health coach!

As a child I ate a typical American diet, so I did not understand at the time how important nutrition was to my mind, body, and spirit. It was not until I had a family of my own that I started to focus on improving our diets with whole, natural foods. When I saw it was possible to transform health with good nutrition and that food is medicine, I wanted to share it with others.

I have a Master Health Coach certification from the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute. It is there that I learned the importance of L.E.A.N: lifestyle, exercise, attitude, and nutrition. L.E.A.N. does not mean skinny; it is an acronym for remembering all the factors contributing to a balanced, healthy lifestyle. Next, I became a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach through the Board of Medical Examiners. In addition to my love of coaching, I have a background in psychology, music, and kickboxing, all of which make me a good fit for this very special “Fight Club” family.

As part of the Tribute team, I will talk with residents, families, and staff about desired health and wellness goals. As your coach, I provide encouragement, science-based education, and ongoing support for you and your family. When it comes to the battle against aging and chronic disease, you need someone in your corner. I am ready to put on my gloves and join the fight with you!

I look forward to meeting all of you!

Best of health,

Ashley Alexander, NBC-HWC
