We Are Adding a Sensory Room In Our Memory Care Neighborhood

As we continue to learn more about dementia and related forms such as Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s, Parkinson’s, and others, as well as new treatment methods, we have discovered what an enormous role the senses play in not only learning but in the care of those with these ailments.

Tribute has added sensory re-training to our brain training program for our residents as a method of re-establishing what may have weakened or been lost. Now we are creating a sensory room in our memory care neighborhood. What is a sensory room, and why are we creating one?
